Following a couple of awesome festival nights over the past months, it’s time for Bass Culture to return to our beautiful home in Marrakech, Gianpula for a hot ‘n sweaty mid Summer dance!!
This time we’re gonna up our game with a very special guest straight outta the UK, Parly B live and direct on the mic delivering an all original set of killer tunes
With three albums and multiple singles and collaborations under his belt ranging from Dancehall and Digital to Jungle and Drum & Bass, Parly B has been a fixture of the UK and international sound system scene for over a decade. Blessed with a voice as deep as Bounty Killer’s, a crowing gimmick reminiscent of the great Dennis Alcapone and a bottomless bag of verbosity, Parly is truly a complete MC.
His unique style and delivery have established him as an artist who’s supported by the likes of Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Reggae Roast amongst others, and featuring on Jungle labels such as Serial Killaz working with producers like Benny Page. Parly B has also featured on The Skints 2nd album ‘Part and Parcel’ and has been getting radio play from a number of different DJs on the BBC such as David Rodigan on Radio 1 Xtra and Don Letts on Radio 6.
Also playing throughout the day will be resident selectors Dubdaboon, Yabadub and Earthrocker and the session will be powered as usual by the mighty Island Rockers Sound System for a truly immersive Bass Culture experience! As with our last event on Easter Sunday, this will be an afternoon session, so come early and enjoy the warm up vibes. There will be plenty of natural shade under the trees but we’ll be setting up extra shading on the dancefloor for all the afternoon ravers and we’re also getting in some industrial sized Portacool fans to keep the family cool and fresh.
