Once the field recordings are completed, we will gather at ISSA to create our own digital soundboards.

Additional information will be provided upon registration, giving you time to familiarise yourself with the tools and concepts we'll be working with.

By preserving the sounds of the village in a digital soundboard, we will explore ways of keeping these sonic experiences archived through the act of collective coding.

‘Save As’ is a workshop led by Martina Farrugia, a designer based between Malta and the Netherlands. With a background in art history, archaeology and digital art, her current artistic practice explores tangible cultural heritage and collective memory, translating her research and findings through clay-making. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Experimental Publishing at the Piet Zwart Institute, focusing on the exploration of different digital tools for publishing and archival practices.
