Tenishia In Concert 2023
- 5 times DJ MAG Top 100 DJs, and Malta’s most exported music act, Tenishia, are back in a duo for one night only after 8 years. The duo that has travelled the World with their music in the most sought after clubs and festivals on the planet is re-uniting for a Concert like on the 2nd of September.
- Joining forces as a duo back in 2004, Tenishia broke the ice for many local artist after a huge breakthrough in the international scene with the support of 5 time World number 1 DJ Armin van Buuren. Their huge discography has seen them winning multiple local music Awards and even being nominated for an IDMA Award in Miami. Their success was a source of inspiration to local talents and revolutionised the meaning of the local Maltese DJ, inspiring other established and upcoming DJs into music production.
- With over 15 years of international touring Tenishia has performed in every possible continent, enjoy a fanbase that stretches from Buenos Aires to Sydney and have by far the biggest number of international shows then any other Maltese artist of any kind. They have performed in the World’s most sought after clubs and festivals including four times at the legendary Tomorrowland in Belgium. The duo is also the first Maltese act to score a weekly Ibiza residency at Eden in 2014. Joven even became the most requested DJ in China in 2017 performing 28 shows in the country during that same year.
- In 2015, Tenishia hosted a TV show on MTV Asia for 6 months followed by billions of viewers, presenting a whole hour of music videos every month. Tenishia’s music videos were also played on daily basis as they made it to the official MTV playlist
- Tenishia also holds the record of the biggest crowd ever attending to a performance by a Maltese artist as over 300 000 people flocked the main streets of Hanoi in Vietnam as Tenishia solely headlined a New Year’s event in 2014.
- Tenishia ranked with the DJ MAG World’s Top 100 DJs for 5 times reaching the 50th spot in 2012, also appearing on the front cover of DJ Mag Asia in 2014 and up till today, they are the only Maltese act to ever make it on the list. Within the trance genre itself on DJ MAG, Tenishia ranked 8th in the World in 2012.
- The association with Malta turned Tenishia into automatic ambassadors for the island. Thousands of Asians and people from particular countries heard about Malta for the first time through Tenishia!
- The duo parted ways in 2015 due to better and different opportunities however they remained in contact during the last eight years. Both Joven and Cyprian kept achieving in the music scene in their own ways.
- Cyprian have been producing multiple local artists and even reaching the second place in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest a few times with his productions. Joven kept thriving internationally and locally with various projects including, more international shows, performances with the National Orchestra and Chasing Sunsets.
- With an army of local fans that stretches from people who frequent clubs, to young teenagers and older people who closely follow on social media, the Maltese music icons are re-uniting once again to give their fans another event to remember.
