The story is set in the winter of 1871 during the Franco-Prussian War in a small village in the French countryside. A woman whose husband has been killed by the French police and son is still fighting against the Prussians is assigned to quarter four young Prussian Soldiers. A powerful tale of revenge and the cost of war on families.
