Description

A programme featuring masterworks of different times created under very different circumstances. With his Cello Concerto Saint-Saëns established himself as a renowned composer. The most delicate textures of Saint-Saëns's music allow the soloist to stand out effortlessly against the orchestra. As an expert for the French composer's works, Steven Isserlis is the ideal interpreter for this concert. Dmitri Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1 is one of the declared favourite compositions of the Italian violinist Anna Tifu. Devoted to contemporary composers and Russian music, British conductor Marius Stravinsky, confronts these two masterfully composed concertos with the mesmerizing beauty of the Suite from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera “The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevronia”.

The InClassica Malta International Music Festival is organised by the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC), led by Konstantin Ishkhanov, in collaboration with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO).

Dear classical music lovers, within the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizer will follow all the recommendations from the Ministry for Health and make sure that everyone will be safe at the venue.

If the epidemiological situation in the country will call into question the holding of the planned concerts or If the situation deteriorates, the concerts will be postponed to a later date or the organizer will return to you the money (excl booking fee).

Organiser/Promoter/Venue (“Organiser”) Terms and Conditions

In addition to those terms and conditions outlined below by ShowsHappening, any attendee of the Event agrees that:

No refund on tickets will be made under any circumstances unless otherwise instructed by the event organiser. In the case of a refund being issued for tickets bought, refund will be issued on the Ticket face value, and ShowsHappening booking fee will NOT be refunded.
Venue Owner reserves the right without refund or compensation to refuse admission to any persons whose conduct is disorderly or unbecoming.
The Promoter may add, withdraw or substitute artistes and/or vary advertised programmes, event times, seating arrangements and audience capacity without prior notice.
The Promoter/Venue Owner may postpone, cancel,interrupt or stop the event due to adverse weather, dangerous situations, or any other causes beyond his reasonable control.
Information is collected from those registering with www.showshappening.com in order to facilitate ticket purchase or other services available. This information is collected and used in accordance with ShowsHappening's Privacy Policy, which forms part of these conditions.
In the event of an event being cancelled, postponed or unsatisfactory, or in the event that Buyer is not allowed to watch the event for any reason, SHOWSHAPPENING cannot be held responsible for any liability including any costs whatsoever incurred by the Buyer in connection with the said event.
